In this episode, American Farmer will focus on CLAAS. With its North American headquarters located within the “heart” of the corn and wheat belts of the Midwest, CLAAS is known for it’s premium harvesting equipment and is now expanding further with powerful new tractors. Its facility in Omaha, Nebraska oversees operations throughout the U.S. and Canada, and is the site of its LEXION combine assembly plant -- the newest and most modern combine factory in North America.
“CLAAS is a global leader in agricultural manufacturing, with a clear emphasis on high-end harvesting solutions. We aren’t an ‘everything to everybody’ full-line manufacturer and we are more than a short liner,” explained CLAAS of America President and General Manager – Sales, Eric Raby. “We carry a long line of grain, hay and forage harvesting equipment, and tractors that are more efficient, provide higher throughput and greater value than standard equipment offerings of other manufacturers.”
The show will explore the CLAAS long-line of equipment with a wide variety of technologically innovative combines, self-propelled forage harvesters, tractors, balers and hay tools; and will inform viewers as to how the company provides farmers the ability to achieve optimum performance in the field.
“These products are designed by a dedicated engineering staff at many different worldwide factories that are solely and specifically focused on the production and design of their portion of the equipment portfolio,” said Jennifer Tierney, senior producer for the American Farmer series. “We look forward to exploring this technology on the show.”
