High sales volume often correlates with poor service levels as real estate agents get stretched too thin. Slick sales pitches that promise vague benefits should be carefully scrutinized with skepticism. Online ratings found on sites like Yelp, Angie's List, Google, Trulia, and Zillow can be extremely helpful in sorting through the noise. And, once hired, a real estate agent should be held accountable for delivering what they promised.
