Unlike ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems where prolonged exposure is harmful, the ellumi™ Disinfection Mode is safe for continuous human (and pet) exposure.
Easy to install, the ellumi™ germ-killing Recessed Shower Light is a retrofit unit that fits into a 5” or 6” recessed can, and is rated for wet locations. It is recommended to target surfaces within 9 feet. Though ideal for the shower, this germ-killing LED solution is also effective in the entire bathroom, the kitchen, the laundry room, playrooms and bedrooms -- wherever there is a need to disinfect and protect.
When the Disinfection Mode is on, it is working to kill germs. To maximize the benefits, it should be left on in Disinfecting Mode continuously, except when the Standard Mode is preferred to illuminate the space.
