ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- INOX will debut its new smart lock technology in booth S3871 at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando from February 8 to 10. The ISM7000 Series Smart Entry Lock is the only commercially-rated smart lock in the market that is available in any trim, lever and finish that INOX offers.
"Residential-grade smart locks are easy to use for a single residence but aren't properly rated from a performance and management perspective for a multi-unit developer or multiple rental property owner. At the other end of the spectrum, if you have a high-end mixed-use property or multifamily unit, you may be stuck with an unappealing, off-theme institutional smart lock," said Qianyan Cheng, INOX cofounder and Vice President of Product Research and Development. "For the first time, our new ISM7000 Series combines commercial quality and performance with elegant design and finish options."
The ISM7000 Series Smart Entry Lock is available in an Entrance function and can be incorporated with a Passage mode and Do-Not-Disturb (DND) privacy mode that can be activated either at the lock or from a mobile app.
The cloud-based smartphone application that accompanies the new ISM7000 Series is a user-friendly app that supports control of the lock and management of e-keys, such as RFID cards or wristbands. The app allows for multi-level user roles and permissions, implementation of lock settings such as autolocking, remote locking and scheduled access, and offers bilingual voice notifications. The app is designed to control the multiple types of access devices traditionally found in a multifamily or mixed-use property, such as a parking garage exit device or the hardwire lock for a high-traffic gym entrance door. The ability to install and manage the locking system from a single app saves time by eliminating complicated IT setup.
INOX will display several other new residential and commercial hardware solutions at KBIS 2022, including:
- The TL7 Magnetic Tubular Latch, the industry's first magnetic latch for interior doors. This new hardware solution uses magnetism to withdraw the latch into a magnet-embedded strike box rather than using an old-fashioned full-lip striking plate. In addition to providing quieter mechanical movement, the latch creates a trim-free minimalistic interior with clean lines and streamlined architectural finishing.
- TwistLock, the industry's first combination of a spring-loaded, integrated edge pull that rotates to convert into a lock bolt. This two-in-one locking solution for sliding and pocket doors is constructed from 304 stainless steel to offer maximum strength and durability and is ideal for a variety of residential and commercial applications.
- The PD97ES Electrified Mortise Lock with Monitoring Switches, a sensor-controlled electrified mortise lock for sliding doors that supports touchless entry or exit. When a sliding door is closed, a built-in door position switch sends a signal to the lock that automatically engages the deadbolt. The PD97ES also includes Request-to-Exit (REX), Deadbolt Monitoring (DBM) sensors and an alarm function. This commercial-grade lock is UL listed and can be integrated with any access control system on the market.
