Inspired LED LLC Introduces Wireless Self-Powered Independence Dimmer

The Independence Dimmer is an extraordinary product which features a wireless energy-harvesting switch, and a compatible RF receiver unit. Instead of utilizing a direct wire system, the Independence dimmer allows the lights to be powered from an electrical outlet. Pairing the outlet powered receiver with the self-sustaining energy harvesting switch, makes a perfect system that can be utilized almost anywhere.
A typical hardwired LED installation involves running in-wall cable from high voltage lines to a low voltage transformer in order to convert 120 volts of alternating current into 12 or 24 volts of direct current. This process can be tedious and time-consuming, which is why so many LED users prefer a plug-in set up. This saves time during installation; however the system cannot be controlled using a standard wall switch, often leaving the project with an unfinished look.

By harnessing the power of energy-harvesting technology, wireless radio frequency, and low-voltage LEDs, creators at Inspired LED have designed a one-step system for controlling LED lighting while eliminating the need to hardwire. By simply placing a receiver module between the power supply and LEDs, the Independence Dimmer switch is able to control multiple systems up to 60 feet away. Furthermore, since the switch is completely self-powered, with no need for batteries or wires, it can be mounted just about anywhere.
This means that new LED systems can be installed even after construction or remodeling has been completed, without having to worry about rewiring or cutting any additional holes. Installation is as easy as plugging in the lights and programming the receivers! With the appearance of a standard decora-style wall switch, the Independence Dimmer blends in seamlessly with existing home hardware. For further convenience it can even be left un-mounted and used as a mobile remote control.
