For the sixth straight year, the social enterprise Contact Center and IT Help Desk company drew warm praise from employees.
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 9, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- InspiriTec Inc is celebrating its sixth straight year on the Philadelphia Inquirer Top Workplaces List, published August 21 in the Inquirer. Compiled by Exton, Pa.-based research company Energage Inc, selections were determined by surveys of employees in local businesses.
Providing award-winning Contact Center and IT Help Desk solutions, InspiriTec is a social enterprise that affirmatively employs professionals with disabilities, veterans, and disadvantaged individuals. InspiriTec lived up to its social enterprise commitment in 2021. With the pandemic on again, off again, InspiriTec is working its way through a hybrid solution, welcoming those who can return to the office, especially those coming back to our expanded, renovated Philadelphia office, and continuing to support those working from home. In the past year InspiriTec has continued to provide the accommodations our employees needed, including
· Assistance with medical and medication needs, moving expenses, utilities, furniture expenses, car repair, and other transportation-related needs;
· Help with childcare and other kinds of pandemic-related supports;
· Temporary housing for employees in unsettled housing situations;
· Moving costs for new employees;
· Assistance for employees working from home, including computers and new or upgraded network services;
· Wellness initiatives including virtual Yoga, nutrition classes, and workplace exercise options; and
· Employee-focused counselling to help mitigate work-related stresses and challenges.
InspiriTec employees were happy about the Top Workplace news but not surprised. Gordon Clinkscale, Chief Project Officer, said, "For some companies, the why behind business is increased speed to market or stakeholder financial growth or performing better in a tough market. For us, the why is the employee. They're the reasons why we're here. Our focus is always on that why."
Aida Garman has been a Customer Service Representative at InspiriTec for eight years. "So many facets about this company are unlike any other company I have ever worked for," she said. "It's refreshing." Not only does Garman like the work she does – helping callers with professional applications – but also she likes where she does it, at home. "I can't say enough about management," she said. "They have made this possible. And if I ever have a problem, I feel I can contact anyone in management and say, 'Can we talk about this?' And they'll support me."
Tanisha Carter, a Team Lead for the Affordable Care Act project, said, "I love the room for growth here. I was promoted within the first year." She also stressed the workplace atmosphere: "Social service is part of the workplace. The beauty of working here is the mix of people with a mix of abilities, and everyone is cheered on and respected. I see people transformed by the compassion around them."
