Integrating PR and Technology - Higher Images Hires Hawk as PR Director
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) January 12, 2015 -- Higher Images Inc. announced today it has named Ruth Hawk as Director of Public Relations.
Hawk, of Mt. Lebanon, is an award-winning journalist who brings three decades of journalism and public relations experience. She has wide-ranging expertise across the news, education, and legal sectors.
“We’re leveraging top-notch content with proprietary technology, online data, analytics, social media, accountability, and research to offer clients a full digital spectrum under one platform," Hawk said. “When it comes to building a sustainable online presence, technology and PR work together. Technology drives traffic while PR spreads the message,” she added.
Hawk’s career began in public relations at the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education in Harrisburg and evolved to news reporting on Capitol Hill for the Bureau of National Affairs Inc. in Washington, D.C. Upon returning to Pittsburgh in the 1990’s, she was a correspondent with the Associated Press and the Pennsylvania Law Journal and an investigative reporter with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. She went on to launch a public relations company specializing in the education and legal sectors.
Hawk is the recipient of a variety of state and national awards for writing, publications and strategic communication programs. Her achievements include a technology education publication that paved the way for real world technology applications being used in classrooms.
As a leader in 21st Century PR, the company has in place cutting-edge technology for integrating traditional and online PR efforts and allowing clients to tap in to a full accountability system.
“We're not just optimizing news content. We're also bolstering our client's SEO rankings, while growing a sustainable professional presence through relevant Web traffic with an accountability system. In essence, we’re becoming both their Web expert and PR strategist,” Hawk said.
