IntelliDyne Named Winner of the 2018 NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative Veteran Service Award
TYSONS CORNER, Va. (PRWEB) December 04, 2018 -- The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI), along with Monster and Military.com, announced today that IntelliDyne, LLC is the winner of the third annual Veteran Service Award.
The VEI Veteran Service Award is sponsored by Monster and Military.com, the premier recruiting solution providers for veterans and employers in the United States, and honors NVTC member companies who have demonstrated a superlative level of engagement with the VEI and support for the Veteran community. IntelliDyne, LLC, a Virginia Values Veterans (V3) certified company, was selected for the focused engagement of its talent acquisition team, and for creating unique opportunities to connect with job seeking Veterans and military spouses. Additionally, IntelliDyne has been a consistent leader in supporting the larger Veteran and military family community.
In addition to IntelliDyne, LLC, CACI International, Inc. and PenFed were also finalists for the award.
Launched in 2013, the NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI) connects Veterans and military spouses to employment, internship, apprenticeship and educational opportunities. It also provides support to member companies in their efforts to recruit, hire, train and retain qualified Veteran and military spouse employees. NVTC member companies have hired over 12,000 Vets since 2013.
“The Veteran Service Award finalist companies have not only hired Veterans and military spouses, but also actively participated in the programs and services of VEI and other Veteran-focused philanthropic volunteer programs,” stated VEI Executive Director Steve Jordon. “These companies are creating scalable Veteran and military spouse hiring programs and have engaged their employees in supporting transitioning military members as well.”
”IntelliDyne, and all our finalists, demonstrated the highest level of commitment to hiring Veterans, and put that commitment into practice with programs and a deep engagement in our regional Veteran and military community,” said Steve Cooker, Executive Vice President of Monster Government Solutions and Co-Chair of the NVTC VEI. “We are honored to help recognize and celebrate their success in bringing Veteran and military spouse talent into their organizations. At Monster and Military.com, we know the tremendous value this talent base adds to the civilian workforce and are proud to support the companies leading the way.”
Finalists for the award were evaluated by an independent panel of judges on their Veteran and military spouse hiring and retention, their participation in the VEI, and their support of other Veteran-related activities in the community. Previous winners of the Veteran Service Award include PRISM Inc. and the MITRE Corporation.
