The webinar will spotlight best practices in healthcare IT security and outline what happened during the two recent cyberattacks — one at Universal Health Services, a large health system with locations across the U.S. and the U.K., the other at a hospital in Germany that led to the death of a patient. It will cover what problems arose and what measures could have been taken, and it will discuss NetSafe CyberCrisis Vault, a first-response tool that allows access to critical patient information during a cyberattack, even when there is no access to healthcare information systems or networks.

The attack prompted the health system to take its entire U.S. network offline and reportedly forced some medical staff to work with pen and paper and to redirect patients to other hospitals.
