Interjet Airlines Reports 12.6 Percent Increase in Year-Over-Year Traffic for August 2019

International passenger traffic increased 26 percent year-over-year while domestic service grew a robust 7.4 percent for the same period.

MEXICO CITY, Sept. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Interjet Airlines announced it transported 1,333,574 passengers in the month of August 2019, an increase of 12.6 percent for the same month in 2018. International passenger counts increased by 26 percent while domestic traffic grew an impressive 7.4 percent. Other highlights included:

  • RPK's (revenue passenger kilometers) grew 17.2 percent for August 2019 versus August 2018
  • ASK's (available seat kilometers) also increased 10.2 percent YOY
  • Overall load factors increased 6.0 percent to 88 percent for the month of August 2019 with international growing 9.7 percent and domestic load factors up 3.6 percent
