CHICAGO (PRWEB) August 23, 2018 -- Intermedix, an R1 company, and a global leader in the health care information technology industry, has been named one of 2018 America’s Best Employers for Women by Forbes. Earlier this year, Intermedix was acquired by the publicly-held company R1 RCM Inc. (NASDAQ: RCM).
This is the first year Forbes has issued the America’s Best Employers for Women list which includes 300 U.S.-based companies that conduct business in various industries. Earlier this year, Intermedix was also recognized as one of Forbes’ 2018 America’s Best Mid-Size Employers.
Intermedix joins companies such as Amazon, Google, Nike, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Estée Lauder Companies on the inaugural list.
The list was compiled based on an independent survey, conducted by research company Statista, that asked employees questions related to general workplace factors such as diversity, development and working conditions, as well as topics such as parental leave, work-life balance, pay equality and overall family support. Survey participants were selected from a vast sample of 40,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations.
“Our company is honored to be acknowledged for creating an inclusive work environment that encourages and advocates for our female team members,” said David Strickler, executive vice president at Intermedix. “Intermedix has an employee population that is over 70 percent female with women in roles that make up over half of our management staff. Our company understands the importance of investing in and equipping all future female leaders that are emerging throughout our organization.”
