Intermedix Releases NEMSIS Compliant EMS Information System
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- Intermedix Corporation is proud to announce the release of its newest solution, Clinical Data Exchange.
The Clinical Data Exchange, or CDX, is an information system for collecting, analyzing and reporting pre-hospital patient care data.
With this solution, state public health agencies, EMS agencies and hospital groups can accept imports of NEMSIS 3.0 compliant data from multiple field EMS data solutions and allow for the data to be accessed, analyzed, and reported to the national NEMSIS data registry. The system provides secure, web-based access for EMS officials and state administrators to create, view and analyze reports. The capability presents compelling benefits for clinical decision support capabilities, peer–to-peer performance benchmarking and quality improvement initiatives.
CDX has obtained the National Emergency Medical Services Information System, or NEMSIS, Version 3 compliance certification.
The NEMSIS Version 3 data standard is part of the NEMSIS objective to enhance reporting and data exchange between EMS providers and hospitals. CDX is one of only three solutions that are compliant with the NEMSIS Version 3 Receive and Process Data capability.
“CDX demonstrates our continuing commitment to provide solutions that meet the ever-changing needs of the industry and optimize the delivery of emergency services,” said Intermedix President and CEO Doug Shamon. “Secure, compliant data management is imperative in today’s complex health care environment. CDX will allow agencies to adapt to the challenges of a complex and evolving health care delivery system.”
Intermedix already has several clients on track to upgrade to the NEMSIS 3 compliant CDX, including four EMS agencies in California, EMS agencies throughout Hawaii and the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight.
“We are proud to have been a partner with Intermedix in the certification process for NEMSIS Version 3,” said Brenda Clotfelter, EMSTARS project manager with Florida’s Department of Health. “We look forward to working with the Intermedix team to begin the upgrade for our agency.”
