Internationally acclaimed conductor Gernot Schulz and premier global communication skills training provider Pinnacle Performance Company have partnered to offer a one of a kind, interactive leadership learning experience.
Using a live orchestra and inviting attendees to participate as guest conductors, Symphonic Leadership demonstrates how leaders can engage high-performing individuals and teams and encourage behavior change through Intention-based communication. Through this intensive learning experience, Pinnacle and Schulz teach how to effectively convey intention to captivate, motivate, and influence any audience.
“One of the great benefits of working with an orchestra is that we can use music to teach. There’s no need for so many explanations – the strongest impact is to experience it,” said Schulz. “Even if they do not have any knowledge of music, learners experience seeing and hearing how they can influence behavior through their expressions, gestures, and intention by conducting the orchestra. Influencing a live orchestra allows them to experience the effect of emotion and behavior change immediately, and to quickly relate how this approach would work with their teams.”
Symphonic Leadership is ideal for leadership symposiums, executive retreats, national sales meetings, and all company events. A session is from 90 minutes to two hours. The ideal audience size is between 25 and 100 participants.
“Maestro Gernot Schulz has devoted his life to mastering classical music – understanding the composer’s intention and conveying it collaboratively with an orchestra. A disciple of legendary conductors Leonard Bernstein, Herbert von Karajan, and Sir Georg Solti, Maestro Schulz has led some of the world’s most renowned orchestras,” said Pinnacle co-founder and CEO David Lewis. “The talent, expertise, and leadership skills he developed as a conductor make this communication skills session a rare opportunity.”
Schulz added, “We can have our musicians play the same piece over and over, but with different direction, or intention, and the result is different. The emotion of the music changes and impacts the audience differently with each intention. This same approach is applicable to every person in the room when it comes to influencing their employees or their audiences.”
