Intetics won the award for the African Outsourcing Project of the Year, demonstrating the ability to deliver both initial and ongoing business value to the client, incorporating both best practice and continuous service innovation.
The GSA's first global-scale event, the Global Sourcing Summit & Awards 2018 took place to represent a crucial step towards the development of a more effective, coherent and collaborative sourcing space. It examined the future of the industry itself and how companies can best shape themselves to provide the greatest possible benefits to businesses across the scale spectrum.
The awards ceremony held in partnership with BPESA (Business Process Enabling South Africa) brought together over 400 of the world's leading strategic sourcing suppliers, support providers, and buyers. The event celebrated and rewarded the success of the best practice, and the efforts of companies and individuals who demonstrated the excellence in the strategic sourcing world in 2017/18.
Intetics entered the shortlist of the finalists in September 2018. The award ceremony revealed the winners on October 2018. The independent judges knowledgeable about best practices and their efficiency in outsourcing evaluated the award entries.
Far from being simply "just another commercial conference", the event aimed to provide vision and direction to the global sourcing industry and the professionals comprising it, as well as to leave a tangible legacy in the form of jobs in the host country South Africa (winner of the GSA's Outsourcing Destination of the Year award three times in the last five years).
The African Outsourcing Project of the Year in technology was created to honor the company that demonstrated the best results in sourcing strategy, partnership approach, benefits realization, best practice and governance, and innovation.
