PHOENIX, Jan. 31, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After late author Lillian "Lilly" Bosnack lost her husband to Alzheimer's disease, she found herself despondent about the future. Having spent years as his caregiver, it was only after he passed that she realized how neglected her own needs were and how lonely she had grown without touch, companionship and emotional fulfillment. However, everything changes when she meets the charming, full-of-life Bill in the unlikeliest of places.
Told through Lilly's unflinchingly honest diary entries, "Love Dream" takes readers through her and Bill's journey of second chances and love after loss. From saccharine memories of their significant "firsts" to shared experiences of losing a spouse to Alzheimer's, the book demonstrates the timelessness of romance while capturing the nuances and complexities that come with dating in the golden years. Lilly is also candid about their challenges as a couple, including their conflicting views of faith and the struggles of balancing her Christian beliefs with her love for an agnostic man.
Additionally, "Love Dream" provides insight into the caregiver's experience, including the depth of their sacrifices, the expectations placed on their life after the person receiving care passes away and the judgement inflicted on them by others. Through sharing her story, Lilly emphasizes that the death of a spouse should not mean the death of a widow's life and that caregivers, like anyone else, need love and nurturing.
"I've read a lot of memoirs and romantic novels and find this combination so fresh and intriguing," wrote reviewer Shirley A. Jeup. "It was so emotionally deep that I had to stop, rest and dry my eyes. 'Love Dream' goes beyond words to express how moved I was."
"['Love Dream'] deals with the issues of relationship, sex, age (both physical and spiritual), and reveals a woman who ultimately made all the right choices," wrote reviewer Sally Stuart. "It's boldly honest…"
Profoundly moving and sincere, "Love Dream" reminds us all of the enduring truth that it's never too late to find love again.

About the author
A New York City resident and model during her youth, Lillian Bosnack loved to write and kept dabbling with prose and poetry. After retiring to Florida with her husband, Frank, his health and mental capacity declined and left him vegetative. She wrote a few pieces that were the highlight of her "get away" from the pressure of her husband's illness. She had a dream that kept her journaling life with Frank's mental and emotional condition, thinking that one day she would put together a book about Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Bosnack had no idea that her diary would one day bring acclaim, or that in her later years, she would live her unrealized love dream.
