Intriguing New Legal Thriller & Crime Novel Invites Readers on Daring Journey of Mystery, Law, Love and the Paranormal
Author Georgia Zaslove presents 'Spirit of the Law: And the Crime Against the Soul' a thrilling Southern fiction set in Memphis as told through the eyes of hard-nosed defense attorney Sy Marcus
KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 20, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Inspired by her time working in her husband's law office, author Georgia Zaslove became intrigued by the true stories she saw and set out to write a legal thriller loosely based on a case they worked on. In the suspenseful new legal thriller and crime novel "Spirit of the Law: And the Crime Against the Soul" Zaslove introduces readers to Sy Marcus, a successful, hard-nosed defense attorney who uncovers a dark secret within his own family.
Taking place in Memphis, Tennessee in 1993 at the genesis of the World Wide Web, the story follows Sy Marcus as he quickly finds himself in a struggle to save his marriage and his legal reputation when he crosses the aisle to serve as the special prosecutor against the renowned defense team representing his brother-in-law and his business partner, who is charged as his co-conspirator. In his attempt to expose the truth, he discovers how far a psychopath will go to meticulously plan the perfect murder. However, this is a game Sy is determined to keep the psychopath from winning as he sets a new legal precedent with a groundbreaking caper to try to prove the perfect murder is never perfect.
"I've always been a people-watcher and fascinated with why people do and feel the way they do. Always listening, observing, and using what I've learned to develop characters in my mind," said Zaslove who has wanted to be an author ever since the age of 12 after being inspired by the work of authors such as Charles Dickens, Boris Pasternak, and Margaret Mitchell.
Readers who enjoy reading books by John Grisham and Scott Turow will also be kept on the edge of their seat by Zaslove's debut thriller as they follow Sy through his compelling journey filled with mystery, suspense, law, love and the paranormal.
