SAN DIEGO, April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Inspired by 10 years of the influential ASU + GSV global network, a new start-up technology platform is being introduced today by founders and directors from the nation's premiere leader in education opportunity and innovation.
edmaven draws on the nearly 3 decades of knowledge, connectivity, and credibility of founding partner the Center for Education Reform (CER). As a stand alone company, edmaven connects people and organizations to ideas and solutions in real-time, driving exponential impact in education across the United States and beyond.
Using proprietary intelligent technology currently in development, edmaven creates connections between people, organizations, ideas and resources working to accelerate education.
"While there are dozens of network destinations you can visit to access information, there is no one place solely dedicated to connections and catalysts in the world of transformative education," said Chairman & CEO Jeanne Allen, who is leading edmaven's development.
"Search engines and social networks continue to improve and act smarter, providing us with tailored suggestions and recommendations on what to read, buy next, or where to vacation, but they won't intuit for you your next opportunity to shape education. That's where edmaven comes in," added Allen.
Co-conspirator and GSV co-founder Michael Moe offered that "there is enormous friction in our space with massive amounts of information out there but no way to connect me efficiently to what I need to know - until now."
In honor of ASU + GSV X, edmaven is available for free to every attendee, and the first 1,000 to sign up will be given a free annual membership for life. The company will offer community and enterprise level packages with premium services following its official launch.
"This is a new product to support a dynamic space," said Allen. "We welcome the feedback and support of all here and throughout the globe who want to join us to accelerate innovation, achieve exponential impact and ensure that all people have access to what it takes to achieve their highest human potential."
CER, an equity shareholder in the company, is incubating the edmaven team while it is being further developed over the next several months. Its creative and product development team has global expertise and reach.
Information about edmaven will be available at the summit, at CER's booth #202 located in the Harbor Foyer on the 2nd Level.
