InventHelp Client's Accessory Helps Physically Handicapped People to Lift Their Own Legs More Easily (BGF-2005)

InventHelp is working to submit the HANDI-STRAP to appropriate companies for their potential consideration.

Many people, for some reason or another, have difficulty lifting their own legs enough to negotiate steps and even slight elevations of vehicle interiors, so two inventors, acting on personal experience, have designed a way to help such people. "My friend and co-inventor has MS, and when one of his legs worsened to the point where he couldn’t lift it enough to use steps we decided that there needed to be an easy and reliable way to solve this problem for him and people in similar physical situations," said one of the inventors.

The HANDI-STRAP aids a physically disabled person to lift a leg without assistance. It helps him or her go up steps or enter and exit vehicles in order to avoid strain and struggle. As a result, it promotes convenience and independence.

Featuring an ergonomic, easy-to-use design, the HANDI-STRAP can be produced in different sizes, colors and designs, and it's ideal for people with physical disabilities or leg injuries, hospital patients and nursing homes.

The original design was submitted to the Bingham Farms office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
