InventHelp® Client Develops Easier Way to Lift an Injured/Healing Leg (CBA-2987)

Pittsburgh-based Inventhelp attempts to submit an invention, Leg Sling Lift Device, to companies for review.

An inventor from Ridgeland, S.C., has created a new device for people who have trouble keeping their injured or healing legs level and safe during transfer into and out of bed. "I thought of this device after having hip surgery," he said. "I ended up developing an idea for more ergonomic movement with an incapacitated leg." He then creates a prototype of his design.

The patent-pending Leg Sling Lift Device provides an easier and safer way to move onto and off of a bed with an injured or healing leg. It prevents the leg from bending or falling, which avoids pain and worsened injury. It also eliminates the need for assistance.

As a result, the Leg Sling Lift Device promotes convenience, comfort, hastened recovery and peace of mind. It can be produced in different sizes for children, adults and cast wearers.

The original design was submitted to the Columbia office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
