InventHelp, America's leading inventor service company, attempts to submit an invention, Patmass Skin Saver, to companies for review.
"I was a nurse for about 15 years before becoming a nurse practitioner, and I experienced a lot of problems with patients who got infections because they were fitted with Foley catheters," said an inventor from Smyrna, Del. "To reduce these risks, I developed a safer catheter."
He developed the Patmass Skin Saver to provide an alternative to both Foley (indwelling) catheters and condom catheters. It is designed to be noninvasive compared to a Foley (indwelling) catheter. This minimizes the risks of developing an infection. The accessory remains firmly in place so that there are no leaks or messes. It also maintains the integrity of the skin in order to prevent it from breaking down. Additionally, the invention offers added peace of mind to both patients and staff.
The original design was submitted to the Baltimore office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
