InventHelp is attempting to submit this idea, the PRESSURE/ULCER PREVENTION FOAM to companies for their review.

An inventor from Cudahy, Calif., has invented a device that helps heal and prevent bed sores. "I was inspired to create this after helping my mother recover from surgery," said the inventor. She then developed a prototype.

The patent-pending PRESSURE/ULCER PREVENTION FOAM keeps a patient's lower extremities afloat, which is especially beneficial for patients who are bed-ridden. It is adjustable yet secure, allowing patients to continue to ambulate while it is in use. Lightweight and portable, the PRESSURE/ULCER PREVENTION FOAM provides a high level of comfort by alleviating pressure and ultimately helping to heal and prevent bed sores.

The original design was submitted to the Los Angeles office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
