No matter how careful users of electric mixers are, it is still difficult to prevent some of the mixture in the bowl from escaping out onto some of the surrounding surfaces. Luckily, an inventor from Dallas, Texas, has discovered how to make cleanup in these situations a breeze.
She developed the patent-pending SPLATTER SCREEN to provide an easy way to contain cake batter or cookie dough and other liquid mixtures while using an electric mixer and a bowl. As such, it eliminates the need to clean up drops of cake batter or other liquid mixtures (melted butter, pie and frosting mixtures, etc.) from walls and other surfaces. Therefore, it protects these surfaces and even clothing against stains from the sprayed batter drops. In other words, it saves time, effort and money. Besides that, this unique invention is easy to use, clean, reuse and store. Also, its simple design minimizes production costs. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor’s experience with baking inspired the idea. “As a result of my home baking business, I often need to clean off cake batter, frosting or pie mixtures that splatter on my walls when I accidentally lift the beaters out of the batter while they’re still running,” she said.
The original design was submitted to the Dallas office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
