InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the Toni’s Personalized Athletic Designs, to applicable companies for their consideration.

Despite the various brands, styles and colors of athletic shoes on the market, until know there has been no way to render a particular pair of them completely unique. However, an inventor from Brockton, Mass., has conceived of a way to make that happen for people who like that distinction.

She developed TONI’S PERSONALIZED ATHLETIC DESIGNS to provide a quick and easy way to individualize the appearance of a pair of athletic shoes. Eye catching, fashionable and fun, it makes a great conversation piece. At the same time, it is easy to use and affordably priced. This novel type of shoe may appeal particularly to children, teenagers and young adults, making it the perfect gift choice. In addition, its simple concept and design minimize production costs.

The inventor’s personal interest inspired the idea. “I just wanted to provide a way of customizing an athletic shoe for users who appreciate a more individualized look,” she said.

The original design was submitted to the Boston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
