Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is attempting to submit the Rapid Pregnancy Test Meter to companies for their consideration.

"The only option for at-home pregnancy testing is urination," said an inventor from Lees Summit, Mo. "This method is only accurate on the day you should start your period. You have to use it first thing in the morning. And the strips are difficult to use while also being expensive. I came up with this alternative device when I was trying to get pregnant. It provides greater accuracy and at a much sooner time after contraception."

She developed the patent-pending RAPID PREGNANCY TEST METER to provide a more convenient way to test for pregnancy. The unit offers results quickly and definitively. It eliminates the shortcomings of other testing methods. The accessory is designed to provide more accurate test results. Additionally, it ends guesswork and confusion, which reduces stress and provides added peace of mind.

The original design was submitted to the Kansas City office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
