InventHelp® Employees Support the Marine Toys for Tots Program
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) December 23, 2013 -- Employees of Pittsburgh-based InventHelp®, a leading inventor service company, have once again participated in a toy drive for children in need this holiday season. For more than 15 years, the company has been donating new or gently used, unwrapped toys to the local Marine Toys for Tots program, helping those in the Pittsburgh region.
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens. “At InventHelp, we take great pride in being able to assist those in our community that are in need, especially children. It makes you feel good, at this time of year, to help make one child’s Christmas a little brighter,” said Nicole Lininger, Director of Corporate Communications for InventHelp.
At the beginning of December, flyers started popping up all over the Pittsburgh headquarters of InventHelp, encouraging employees to donate to the annual toy drive. Employees placed their toys under the company Christmas tree throughout the month. On December 10th, a representative from the marines, GySgt Tonisue Ranger, came to InventHelp headquarters and loaded all the toys into a truck. After the toys were picked up, they were taken to a secure area to be organized and prepared for participating families.
Local Toys for Tots campaigns are conducted annually in over 700 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Over the years, Marines have established close working relationships with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies which are well qualified to identify the needy children in the community.
