Iomob, the company behind the Internet of Mobility Network being built on Cosmos, to launch the beta of WheelCoin on September 15th from Dubai
BARCELONA, Spain, Sept. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Iomob, which is building a decentralized protocol for the creation of the Internet of Mobility the world's first Mobility Marketplace Network platform announced today the submission of WheelCoin to the Apple and Android app stores. WheelCoin will be the first Move2Earn (M2E) app focused on rewarding green mobility choices from its users.
Iomob was incorporated in 2018 by three Ph.D. cofounders based in Barcelona, Spain. Now, with more than 30 full time employees, the Internet of Mobility network has been deployed in North America and Europe alongside major public and private clients and partners.
Iomob's most recent funding round was led by True Global Ventures (TGV), early investors in web3 gaming powerhouses such as Animoca Brands and The Sandbox. On September 15th in Dubai, Iomob CEO and co-founder, Boyd Cohen will present the first public demo of WheelCoin to hundreds of invited guests, investors and partners of TGV both in-person and through a private video conference.

In the beta, which has been oversubscribed with more than 5,000 requests to participate, WheelCoin will detect users' mobility patterns and reward them with WheelCoins when they choose walking, biking, public transit or rail for all or part of their journeys. WheelCoin compares the estimated emissions from the actual journey compared with what the emissions would have been had the user chosen a car for the entire journey. One WheelCoin is generated for every kilogram of avoided emissions.
In the next version of WheelCoin, depending on the NFTs the user possesses, users will have the option to book and pay for green mobility services from the Internet of Mobility network earning more rewards and applying WheelCoin for discounts on dynamic booking and green mobility subscriptions.
