Aptly named the iProperty.com People’s Choice Awards, iProperty Group’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Georg Chmiel said that the awards is aimed at recognizing the best property developers in the country purely from a consumer perspective.
“We are very proud to host our very first iProperty.com People's Choice Awards, which is the first of its kind in Malaysia. The awards provide us with a platform to engage with consumers and give them the opportunity to vote for their most preferred developer or development in the 10 categories we have set. At the end of the day, it is the property buyers that will either call that development their home or office so, it was only befitting that they choose the winners,” said Chmiel.
He added that the 10 categories include Developer of the Year, Best Township of the Year, Best High Rise Development, Best Luxury High Rise Development, Best Landed Development, Best Luxury Landed Development, Best Eco Friendly Development, Best Commercial Development, Best Integrated Development and Most Iconic Development.
“The response we received from the developers was overwhelming and after reviewing and scrutinizing over 140 submissions, the panel of judges shortlisted a total of 55 entries. The power to pick the best developer or development in each of the 10 categories now lies in the hands of the general public,” added Chmiel.
According to Chmiel, prior to inviting the general public to vote, a panel of highly acclaimed judges comprising of himself, Chan Seong Aun, President of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia, Chris Tan Chur Pim, Founder & Managing Director of Chur Associates, Wong Kuen Kong, Deputy Chairman, Redha Johor were invited to review and shortlist the entries received based on a set criteria.
“We invite all Malaysians to cast their vote for their most preferred developer or development on http://www.iproperty.com.my/awards. The voting will begin on 7th October and close on 31st October 2014. After which, the results will be tabulated and the winners will be announced at an all exclusive premier gala dinner scheduled on 20th November 2014. So, we urge Malaysians to let us know who your preferred developer or developments are by voting for them and you could stand a chance to walk away with fantastic prizes,” concluded Chmiel.
