Iranian-American Women's Leadership Conference
(PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- On October 27th, 2013 the Iranian-American Women's Foundation will hold a leadership conference in New York. The topic of this event is Entrepreneurship Do’s & Don’ts.
Anoosheh is an entrepreneur and one of the IAWF members who inspire women to reach for their goals and give back to their community.
She left her home in Iran as a young girl in search of the American Dream. She is a graduate chemical engineer and environmental entrepreneur with a passion for philanthropy who gives back to her community through active service on a number of non-profit organizations and environmental/technical industry associations.
She began her career at Flour Daniel as a project engineer working on nuclear, chemical and petrochemical projects for the worldwide market. After leaving Flour Daniel she became involved in helping manufacturers meet air pollution abatement challenges.
In the fall of 2000 the opportunity arose for Anoosheh to form a new corporation and begin an entrepreneurial enterprise known as Ship & Shore Environmental, Inc. As president and co-founder, over the years she has become known as a technology leader in the field of air pollution abatement for a variety of manufacturing operations.
In 2006, to better address market demands for energy solutions, she founded a sister company, Green Energy Industrial Solutions, which works closely with Ship & Shore Environmental, Inc. in development of energy conservation measures and alternative energy solutions.
She is actively involved with several professional trade organizations such as: EPSMA (Expanded Polystyrene Manufacturers Association), WPA (Western Plastics Association), SPI (Society of Plastics Industries), FBF (Film & Bag Federation), FTA (Flexographic Technical Association), and WSPA (Western States Petroleum Association). She has served as an advocate for many of these organizations through active participation as a board member and/or a committee member over the years.
She is also involved in her community through active participation and service with the following organizations: Children’s Hope International Literacy and Development, Pacific Symphony, Orange County Community, Farhang Foundation, Iranian American Women’s Foundation, and as an honorary member of Girl Scouts of Orange Country.
