We have the opportunity and see it as an imperative to train professionals in new skill sets which are needed to help companies keep up with rapidly evolving technological advancements and deliver high-quality medicines to patients."
ISPE Academy launched its first three certificate programs at the end of April and now offers additional certificate programs: Biopharmaceutical Essentials and Good Engineering Practices.
- The Biopharmaceutical Essentials certificate program offers intermediate to advanced-level training for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise and advance their careers in the biopharmaceutical industry. The courses in this program focus on biopharmaceutical drug substance manufacturing, covering key topics such as biopharmaceutical processes, facility design, aseptic processing, and regulatory considerations.
- The Good Engineering Practices certificate program offers intermediate-level training to professionals seeking to enhance their project management skills and ensure efficient, compliant project delivery on managing engineering projects in the pharmaceutical industry. Courses cover the entire lifecycle of engineering projects, emphasizing compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
ISPE Academy's additional certificate programs are as follows:
- The GAMP® Essentials certificate program provides fundamental training on good manufacturing practices for computerized systems in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. ISPE developed the program for professionals seeking to ensure compliance and data integrity in GxP-regulated environments. Courses cover risk-based validation, data integrity, and regulatory requirements, aligning with guidelines highlighted in the ISPE GAMP® 5 Guide (Second Edition).
- The Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Refresher certificate program provides fundamental training on current GMP regulations, quality systems, and the distinction between quality assurance and quality compliance. The program also aims to keep professionals up to date with key trends and regulatory requirements.
- The Pharmaceutical Water Systems certificate program provides comprehensive training in the design, operation, and maintenance of the water systems needed for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Courses cover water generation, storage, delivery, and regulatory compliance, and the program aims to help professionals meet high standards of water quality and compliance in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
"ISPE Academy certificate programs empower pharmaceutical companies to invest in their workforce while enhancing ISPE's suite of professional development opportunities," said Brandon Pastore, Senior Director of Professional Development at ISPE.
