NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nashville-based IT City Entertainment announced today an exclusive agreement with Red Truck Creative for the film Shine Service. Under the terms of the deal, IT City will serve as agents of the film for including sales, festival and theatrical screenings and public relations. The announcement was made by IT City co-founder Brian Williams.
Filmed by Nashville-based video production company Bolo Brothers Creative, Shine Service documents the life of Percy Person who, along with his shoeshine business, has become a Nashville legend. The film also chronicles the growth of the city of Nashville, starting with the turbulent sixties up until present day, and features some Nashville notables including former Governor of Tennessee and Mayor of Nashville Phil Bredesen and Former U.S. Attorneys Hal Hardin and Ed Yarbrough.
"Percy is such a unique person and a Nashville icon; people from all over the country know Percy and recognize his work. We wanted to document his legacy and his dying trade, which makes for an extremely compelling story," said Phillip Byron Jones of Red Truck Creative. "We're delighted to share the story of someone who truly represents the heart and soul of this growing city with audiences all across the country."
Plans for the film include local Nashville screenings, followed by a national release and festival screenings.
"IT City Entertainment was formed to bridge the gap between Nashville's deep talent pool and the distribution pipelines on the West Coast," says Williams. "Projects like Shine Service perfectly exemplify not only the kind of work that we want to be involved with, but also the wealth and depth of creative projects being developed in Nashville."
