IVP Battles Disaster; Still on Track for Record Breaking Year

WASHINGTON, Ill., Sept. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In March of 2018 the roof of IVP Plastics' main production building in Washington, Illinois collapsed under the weight of heavy snow. The water cooling system then proceeded to pour 250,000 gallons of water over 17 of the 19 presses housed in Washington. With the assistance and support of IVP's customers, partners, and employees, just four months post disaster, IVP is again looking forward to a record-breaking production year.
Due to IVP's safety protocols, already in place, all employees made it safely from the building. Their commitment to building a strong workforce with a family atmosphere meant that both the leadership team and employees were invested and worked tirelessly to get IVP back up and running. Taking advantage of the redundancies built into IVP's second location in St. Louis, Missouri, and the effort of the team members there, production was able to continue through the restoration and rebuilding of the Washington site.
IVP President Daryl Lindemann's message to the IVP employees from the beginning was, "We're coming back. We're going to rebuild bigger and better. We just need your help." And that's exactly what employees expected to hear. "They knew we were going to have a big year this year," Lindemann said, "and they're as committed as the management team. Because of that, they came and were committed to making sure this company got back on its feet."
Further proving the excellence of the IVP team, in June of 2018, IVP was Awarded AGCO's Supplier of the Year Award for Quality. AGCO Corporation, a global leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of agricultural machinery and solutions, selected IVP on their development of new tools and transfer of problematic tools thanks in large part to their work with the IVP St. Louis location.
