“It Could Happen Here – A Roadmap to Disaster,” by J.F. Cronin, provides readers with a fictional account of a United States president who is strategically guiding upcoming elections. Behind the scenes, the elite connections he holds dear are plotting to keep him in office and shielded from his domino cascade of bad decisions.

Wilbur Barron, President of the United States, places a call to Eric King, the CEO of an international security company and close advisor, requesting that he attend a meeting. King was often heavily relied on, and he undertook jobs for Barron that were unadvertised, sometimes shady, and he was secretive enough never to let the press know what he was doing. Wolf Stryker, a former King employee, is soon brought back on the payroll to train Americans to implement a coup to protect the money pipeline that funneled assets into private corporations.
J.F. Cronin is a retired marine general who has written extensively about the state of political-military affairs.
