Jack Stack Barbecue's New Restaurant in Lee's Summit Holds Grand Opening
Overland Park, Kan. (PRWEB) April 28, 2015 -- Jack Stack has opened the doors to its fifth Kansas City-area barbecue restaurant. Located in the SummitWoods Crossing Shopping Center at 1840 N.W. Chipman Road in Lee's Summit, Missouri, this location is the first Jack Stack restaurant built from the ground-up.
“Lee’s Summit was the natural location for our newest restaurant,” said Case Dorman, president and CEO of Jack Stack during the brief Grand Opening ceremony. “We already have hundreds of loyal Jack Stack fans in Jackson County, and the Lee’s Summit community in particular has been extremely welcoming. We have been very eager to open the doors today.”
During the Grand Opening event, Lee’s Summit Mayor Randy Rhoads and civic leaders welcomed Jack Stack to the area and joined members of the restaurant’s management team in cutting the ceremonial ribbon. The restaurant opened its doors to the public for lunch.
The new restaurant – which serves the same delectable smoked-to-perfection ribs, burnt ends, brisket, pulled pork, Hickory Pit Beans and world-famous Cheesy Corn Bake that are enjoyed in Jack Stack locations around the metropolitan area – was designed by Kansas City-based DeGasperi & Associates. As lead architect, Jeff DeGasperi has extensive experience in a broad range of building designs, including multiple restaurants and entertainment venues.
The interior of the new Jack Stack location was designed by REALM Architecture of Phoenix, Arizona. Jacques LeBlanc, who led the REALM interior design team, has directed the design for several other restaurant operations. The interior of this Jack Stack restaurant makes extensive use of brick, timber/wood and stone. The restaurant also includes an exhibition kitchen that enables patrons to see food prep, a full-service bar connected to a large patio with two fireplaces and expansive “window-walls,” and a separate patio and waiting area for customers picking up carry-out orders.
Prior to the official Grand Opening, the restaurant hosted three soft opening community events for local VIPS, friends and family, and Lee’s Summit community organizations. In keeping with the Jack Stack mission to “care and feed the least fortunate in our community,” a portion of the proceeds from each of these events was donated to Hope House and City Union Mission.
