About the Author
James Milton Roberts is a 75-year-old Vietnam Veteran. He served in the Marine Corp as a field radio operator with the 1st Recon Division, long range patrols with five members. He is 100 % totally disabled with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He is married and has four children, with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roberts lives in Archdale, North Carolina. He had, at one time, everything a man would desire: family, beautiful home, timbered land, lived close to Baden Lake. Had two businesses — one in High Point, North Carolina, and the other in Toledo, Ohio. Roberts had amnesia from Vietnam for 25 years, found a friend shot dead, and a week later found a 16-year-old hit by train. This brought back the two ambushes his mind had blocked out for 25 years. He thought he had lost his mind, ended up at Salusbury VA Hospital, North Carolina., going back and forth being admitted until 2O21. In 1991, he filed for bankruptcy after losing everything he had. When he lost the home, his wife and children moved out, and he lived in the woods on 10 acres for over five years. Today, Roberts lives in Archdale, North Carolina. He raised Birmingham Roller pigeons as a hobby, is one of Jehovah's Witnesses, has remarried and is now living the good life. His is also the author of "My three Shadows," a biogeography.
