MEADVILLE, Pa., Dec. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "Autobiography of James R. Brasel and His Family: Growing Up in the Arkansas Delta with God's Help": a profound look into the author's journey as he walked from childhood to now. "Autobiography of James R. Brasel and His Family: Growing Up in the Arkansas Delta with God's Help" is the creation of published authors James R. Brasel, a forty-nine-year deacon. He retired to be a caregiver for his wife. Raised in a Christian household, he has been able to feel God's presence many times in his life throughout his seventy-six years.
Brasel shares, "This book is an autobiography of my life, my wife's life, my family and my daughter's family. It represents seventy-six years of delta life, town life, college and career life, and retirement life. Many things happened in those years where I could point out the hand of God in my life.
"Living on a farm, moving to town, going to college, getting married, finishing college while married, then going to graduate school was a stressful time in my life but an enjoyable time. My wife and I were connected in church during this time, and God was in command of our life.
"Teaching was my career choice. Three years in high school and forty-two years at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. Teaching in Sunday school and training union during the years in West Helena Baptist Church was a plus for my life. My wife was the secretary to the pastors of West Helena Baptist Church for thirty-three years. Our lives were greatly touched by the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Except for the five years of college life and three years of high school teaching, my life has been in Phillips County Delta in Arkansas. People have changed in the county because of mechanization on the farm. The tenant workers, both black and white, moved to the city to find work or moved to larger cities or out of state to find work.
"A lot of people think that growing up is up to twenty-one years, but in my life, it has been a continual growth and growing with God's help."
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, James R. Brasel's new book is a heartfelt memoir about a man's life from the farm to living in town and building a family of his own. The author recounts his life as he grew up with the grace of God.
