This book focuses on paying for climate change and preparing for the end of natural resources and lays out a map to begin building the climate change bridge. It also sets forth a plan to create the selfless economy, which he first began in his second book, "Reject Self-Serving Power." He includes financial plans to pay for both building the climate change bridge and building the selfless economy.
"I believe there are two $20 trillion opportunities for the future that are waiting for our nation to embrace. The first is pursuing the goal of 5% usable fresh water for climate change. The second is building a selfless economy. I have combined these topics, opportunities, and plans in the same book because they are very much interrelated and dependent on each other," Matthew points out. When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, Matthew answered, "Nobody in the entire world has a viable plan to defeat global warming in spite of countless hours and trillions of dollars planned on being spent. My solution of piping ocean salt waters into the great deserts and then desalinating those salt waters inland is unique. Net zero carbon is not a viable strategy for the 21st century. Five percent usable fresh water should be our primary climate change goal and my plans can get us there."
