The City of Jamestown, NY is deploying a public-facing NextRequest records requests portal that will allow citizens to submit FOIL requests to the City 100% electronically. The City will process, track, and fulfill requests submitted to the public portal with NextRequest’s software.
“NextRequest software has been built with the end-user in mind, from citizens to government employees,” Reed Duecy-Gibbs, NextRequest CEO, said in a statement. “Our goal is to maximize efficiencies and to modernize the management of FOIA requests for all government agencies.”
Jamestown has seen a 25% increase in FOIL requests from 2019. This increase in requests has magnified the City’s need for a more optimized records request management process that allows for better tracking, better visibility, and an overall better end-to-end experience.
