ASHLAND, Ore., Jan. 10, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jason and Traci Darrow have a passion for animals – they have three dogs of their own and are the loving grandparents to four grand-dogs and one grand-cat. Now, they are excited to expand their passion by opening their own pet food and supplies business focused on nutrition and wellness: Pet Wants Southern Oregon.
Pet Wants' specially-crafted, private-label pet food formulas are made in small batches with fresh, natural ingredients enhanced with vitamins and minerals for a complete and balanced diet in every bowl, all made in the USA. Pet Wants Southern Oregon has multiple blends of dog and cat food formulas, treats and chews, as well as healing salve, calming balm, anti-itch spray, paw wax and more.
"As a family, we prioritize responsible pet ownership and health is at the top of the list, for ourselves and our animals. The healthier and happier they are, the less time we spend with the vet and the more time we spend on adventures. We fed our animals the best — or so we thought until discovering Pet Wants," Jason said. "As pet owners, we were excited to see Pet Wants turn a new page in the pet nutrition market, offering people like us a reliable brand to both treat our dogs and maintain their daily wellness with a more natural option — without wasteful packaging or empty calories — all focused on what each animal needs."
As a mobile business, Pet Wants Southern Oregon offers free, personal delivery from Ashland to Jacksonville and Eagle Point, including to Phoenix, Talent, Medford and Central Point.
Pet Wants only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice and other ingredients available, and the company has a money-back guarantee on the freshness and quality of the food. There's no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products. Pet Wants never uses corn, wheat, soy or dyes, which makes the food great for animals with allergies.
"We are thrilled to share Pet Wants' true nutrition-focused service approach with pets and pet owners from our Southern Oregon home base, where our community shares a dedication to cultivating long, happy lives for our animals, and bolstering overall community sustainability," Traci said.
Jason and Traci bring diverse backgrounds to this new business, including experience in economic development, construction, business ownership and leadership, nursing and politics. Having coached and participated in many sporting events and extracurricular activities with their kids, Traci and Jason know well the value of actively supporting all-around healthy community growth and resilience for future generations.
Their blended family is blessed with many animal companions, including their Chesapeake-Lab and pack leader, Roscoe, and two English Mastiffs, Samson and Amara. Jason's daughter Allayana's English Mastiff, Roman, is training to be a service dog, and shares the house with a cat named Mertyle. Traci's son, Mason, and his partner have two rescue pups, June and Zola. Finally, Jason's son, Darian, adopted a rescue pup named Eleanor during his military service.
"Dogs have provided companionship on trails, patience with our kids, support through challenging life events, pure joy and endless love. Every day we wake up to slobbery jowls and paw prints on our bed — it's the life we choose, and we wouldn't have it any other way," Jason said. "Now we're excited to both feed them the best and offer the best here in our community with Pet Wants."
