Jason Dussault and Raphael Mazzucco come HOME to Collaborate

When Jason was conceptualizing the message for “No Home”, he came to realize that it would be best presented alongside strong writing in the form of a short story. Says Jason Dussault, “I turned to my longtime friend and partner, Prevail, to scribe some words to help guide the direction of the show. As a person of compassion and an artist of honesty, I am constantly challenged with the current state of affairs that we, as the human race, are faced with. When I came to Prevail for his help on “No Home”, He explained the concept and he instantly saw my greater vision. We have been working together on projects since the early 2000's. We have collaborated on everything from design, with my original custom clothing company “Dussault”, to my first gallery solo show at the Hoerle-Guggenheim in New York, where I was honored to be debuted alongside the legendary artist Retna.”
For the first time, Jason has created jewelry, tools and costumes which have added to the profound medium of photography to his work. By including resin, ceramic and paint his my original images, Jason has broken new ground, and thus, has forged a new respect to the applications of art.”
About Jason Dussault
The world's most impactful art is born from the expression of internal struggle. Jason Dussault has wielded the power of that understanding and has channeled that energy through nostalgic iconography. From an artistic rage that lives beneath his perception, Jason creates an homage to one of the most primitive yet connected mediums in art history, the mosaic. Following the tour, Raphael immediately launched into an artwork & photo essay book collaboration with music impresario, Jimmy Iovine and rap producer, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Interview Magazine joined with Carolyn Murphy this past summer to host an exhibition of his work at his Montauk, Long Island home, adding to recent profiles of him in the Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Style Section. Paris Vogue has also featured Raphael several times, commenting that his style “oozes sensuality and charm.”

With hundreds of paintings, sculptures, and performances combined, Masik’s innate desire to create emits itself through a prolific body of work. With international acclaim, numerous guest appearances at conferences worldwide, and 20 years-worth of creation under her belt, the artist continues to build the foundation to becoming integral to the Canadian art historical canon.
The controversy surrounding the creation of Pamela Masik’s The Forgotten Collection — 69 large-scale painted portraits of women that went missing and murdered in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, Canada — sparked the interest of Vancouver film maker Damon Vignale to create feature film documentary The Exhibiton. The director followed Masik over the course of many years documenting the physical, emotional, and institutional hurdles that the artist was met with; from its initial conception, to the ultimate cancellation of Pamela Masik’s museum exhibition of The Forgotten Collection at the Museum of Anthropology. The film has been widely received as an objective glimpse into the complicated reception of this important body of work and received numerous nominations at film festivals worldwide. The Exhibition was the winner of the documentary category at the 2014 International Emmy Awards.
