Experienced editor and writer, Jeffrey Hirsch, is now Editorial Director at Sappington, a leading technology marketing firm located in Seattle, WA. Experienced editor and writer, Jeffrey Hirsch, is now Editorial Director at Sappington, a leading technology marketing firm located in Seattle, WA. Hirsch will oversee and ensure content quality for the firm, and will write and edit content for client engagements, as well as lead research initiatives.

Hirsch has held the pen and collaborated with writers to improve their work across many industries and roles in his storied career. Most recently, Hirsch has focused on the tech industry.

As Senior Copywriter for Wire Stone/Accenture Interactive, he collaborated with marketers, designers, and developers to execute campaigns for a suite of Microsoft products, from Azure and Microsoft 365 to PowerApps and PowerAutomate. While leading Executive Communications for the Microsoft account at Accenture, he planned and executed internal communications for a 5,300-person account team in 23 geographies. Other recent roles include leading strategic communications for an IT implementation project at the University of Washington that was the largest single administrative transformation initiative in the institution’s history.

Hirsch’s passion for editorial quality and accuracy began early in his career as editor for award-winning city magazines in Los Angeles. Since relocating to Seattle, he has edited content for Amazon product launches and campaigns. At Microsoft, he wrote and edited content for consumer-facing websites, coordinating localization of content for 22 international sites in five languages, as well as writing executive speeches, white papers, case studies, and marketing materials.

“We were especially interested in having Jeffrey join our team because of his combined background in technology, business, and the arts,” adds Sappington Chief Content Officer Erik Wirsing.

Hirsch graduated from the California Institute of Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. He has been a writer and editor for numerous clients ranging from the Frye Art Museum, Condé Nast Traveler magazine, San Francisco Ballet, and Los Angeles Philharmonic. He is the author of two books for the J. Paul Getty Museum, and is founding editor of City Arts magazine in Seattle.
