NEW YORK, June 24, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This past weekend the Jewish Spiritual Leader's Institute (JSLI) ordained its 20th class. Celebrating 10 years (+ 1 for Covid) Rabbi Steve Blane is honored to continue training relevant clergy. On June 19th a cohort of five Rabbis joined the 165+ clergy - Rabbis and Cantors - ordained by the Jewish Spiritual Leaders Institute (JSLI). Alumni of this class hail from California, Texas, Illinois and the Netherlands! Rabbis Monte Sugarman of Saratoga Springs, NY and Billy Love of Philadelphia joined Rabbi Steve on the virtual Bet Din.
"Class #20 formed a special bond illustrating one of the richest components of studying with JSLI - the connection with a group of peers from diverse backgrounds and life journeys that continues even beyond ordination and who each bring their unique Jewish experience to the program," notes Rabbi Blane.
JSLI has ordained Rabbis from all over the US, Canada as well as in Europe and Israel. JSLI Rabbis and Cantors serve in pulpits, as educators, Cantors, Jewish administrators and perform life cycle events in states including Idaho, Oklahoma and Alabama. Yes, there are Jews in Oklahoma! One of the students did their required paper on that topic. JSLI welcome students from all denominations.
The next class begins in August. If you are interested in fulfilling your dream of becoming a Rabbi or Cantor visit the website to apply.
