Jimmy Kimmel and Chef Adam Perry Help Feed Homeless Families During the COVID-19 Epidemic
Jimmy Kimmel and Chef Adam Perry Lang of APL Restaurant have joined forces with St. Joseph Center to help feed homeless families affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES, April 2, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Chef Adam Perry Lang of APL Restaurant and Jimmy Kimmel have joined forces with St. Joseph Center to help feed homeless families affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in Los Angeles.
Kimmel enlisted APL Restaurant (aplrestaurant.com) in Hollywood to help tackle the dual problem of keeping restaurant workers employed and feeding families experiencing homelessness. Kimmel announced on his Instagram feed on Wednesday, March 25th, that for each to-go meal ordered from APL, Chef Adam Perry Lang and Jimmy Kimmel will donate a meal from APL's kitchen to a family in need. St. Joseph Center, (stjosephctr.org) one of Los Angeles' lead homeless services providers, will distribute the meals to families living in shelters and interim housing. This partnership keeps workers employed while bringing critical meals to families who are experiencing homelessness.
"The work St. Joseph Center does is inspiring and important and it is our privilege to be able to help feed homeless families in Los Angeles," commented Kimmel, who, recognizing the importance of fighting this civic crisis, has teamed up with St. Joseph Center previously on other projects. Most recently, he joined his staff at Jimmy Kimmel Live! to beautify the grounds and make welcome baskets for the families moving into St. Joseph Center's newest interim housing development, SOLA: Open Air in South Los Angeles.
