Joanne Sundin Named President of Eating Recovery Center of San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO (PRWEB) December 21, 2015 -- Eating Recovery Center of San Antonio, a leading provider of eating disorder treatment, announced today that Joanne Sundin has joined its executive leadership team. As President of Eating Recovery Center of San Antonio, Sundin will oversee clinical and administrative operations and will collaborate closely with Eating Recovery Center’s Denver-based leadership to uphold the excellence of Eating Recovery Center’s eating disorder treatment programs.

Sundin has more than 27 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in the behavioral healthcare field. Prior to joining Eating Recovery Center of San Antonio, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Specialty Health Services at Nix Health Care System in San Antonio. There, she was responsible for running the facility’s Inpatient (148 beds) and Outpatient (32 beds) Behavioral Health Division. She expanded the business from 1999 to present from a 15-bed geriatric psychiatric unit to 148 Inpatient beds in 2015 and enhanced its outpatient programs. For a seven-year period, Sundin also functioned as vice president and administrator for Nix Alamo Heights Clinic, managing a multi-specialty physician practice with 10 full-time providers. Her additional responsibilities included leadership over the ambulatory care, inpatient and outpatient physical rehabilitation, psychiatric emergency services and home care service lines.
Sundin’s leadership was recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal in 2005 with the Award for Administrative Excellence in Healthcare Leadership. She is actively involved in the San Antonio community, serving in various fundraising and leadership positions, such as an advisory board member for Chrysalis Ministries and treasurer and corporate development chairperson for the Junior League of San Antonio. Prior to her career, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, from the University of Texas, San Antonio.
