MEADVILLE, Pa., Sept. 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "Then, Now and In The Future: A Search For Honesty And Value Based Living": an engaging biographical work that explores a collection of thought-provoking themes. "Then, Now and In The Future: A Search For Honesty And Value Based Living" is the creation of published author Joe Woerner, who was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey, in May of 1967, was educated at Seton Hall University, and received a degree in sacred theology from Catholic University in Washington, DC. Woerner was a parish priest for six years, stationed as St. Peter's Parish and Orphanage in Newark, New Jersey, for three years. During his time in Newark, he taught religion at St. James High School, also located in Newark, and was responsible for the continuing education of the sisters assigned at the orphanage at St. Peter's Parish for almost three years. He also moderated adult education programs and taught religion at Holy Trinity High School in Westfield, New Jersey. In August of 1970 he was assigned to St. Andrew's Parish in Westwood N.J. where he moderated adult education and youth activities for three years. After leaving the priesthood, Woerner worked as the assistant director of admissions at Newark College of Engineering, now known as the New Jersey Institute of Technology. In 1973, he resigned from the priesthood, married Marilyn Williams, and together raised three boys. As a salesman for Black Millwork Inc., an Andersen Window distributor, he retired in 2007 as a valued employee after thirty-two years.
Woerner shares, "The inspiration to write this book came as the result of the encouragement of close friends and family. It is an attempt to express and share the beliefs, thoughts, and experiences that have formed and shaped my life over the years. It reflects a natural movement of my life from 'then' till 'now.' These essays are grouped by theme rather than chronology but are dated to help the reader achieve a sense of the movement from 'then' till now. It has been an evolutionary process.
"The question is, What am I trying to communicate to you, and how? The how is through these essays that represent a personal evolutionary process that began in earnest approximately twenty years ago. I would like to share that process or journey of moving from the status quo toward something beyond, moving to something more personal, toward a sensibility for the truth, and an openness to self-education and questioning."
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Joe Woerner's new book takes readers on a nostalgic and reflective journey through life's triumphs and challenges.
Woerner's eventful life provides for a collection of personal stories and encouraging reflections that will prove an enjoyable read for all.
