Morgan, in January 2020. John will start his residency at Grand Velas Los Cabos from January 25-29, before his second and final week at Grand Velas Riviera Maya from February 1-5. The residency complements the resort collection's access to world class golf resorts, special rates and unlimited golf included in the rate offering at Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta offered annually.
Morgan, who has played alongside legends including Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and Fred Couples, is well known for his participation in the Open Championships, European Tour and PGA Tour. The talented golfer will be teaching guests during the two-week residency and sharing his expertise and tips.
The golf residency at Grand Velas has been designed for golf enthusiasts of all levels and ages, to either hone golfing skills or learn the sport from scratch, as an added element to their stay. Activities on tap include:
- Group classes and one-on-one sessions for both adults and children to perfect technique;
- Beat the Pro sessions during which guests are invited to try to hit a drive closer to the hole than John, albeit with him using only one hand;

Both resorts have partnered with the most coveted golf courses in their region. Grand Velas Los Cabos workshops will be held at Cabo Real, an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior. The course has hosted two PGA Senior Slam events (1996, 1999) and offers a memorable, well balanced test of golf. The Grand Velas Riviera Maya workshops will be held at El Camaleon, an 18-hole course designed by Greg Norman, home of the PGA tour and featuring the only Jim McLean Golf School in Mexico.
