BOSTON, Mass. (PRWEB) December 16, 2014 -- Dynatrace, the market leader in the new generation of application performance management (APM), today announced that John Van Siclen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dynatrace. In this role, Van Siclen will lead Dynatrace in its next phase of growth, innovation and leadership in the APM market.
The announcement of Van Siclen taking the reins as CEO comes on the heels of Dynatrace becoming a private independent entity from Compuware, creating the largest independent APM business, with the highest- market share and R&D investment among the new generation of APM vendors. The formation of the new organization was completed after private equity investment firm Thoma Bravo, LLC’s acquisition of Compuware closed Dec. 15. Dynatrace is being established as a stand-alone business.
As the former CEO of dynaTrace, a disruptive APM startup acquired by Compuware in July 2011, Van Siclen became the General Manager of Compuware APM in April 2012, where he integrated and grew its product portfolio to become the market leader. Prior to joining dynaTrace, John Van Siclen had built a number of highly scalable businesses in some of the most competitive markets in the software space.
