The latest release offers pixel perfect and paginated reporting in a web application environment. Report developers and power users benefit from new streamlined workflows for designing precision layouts and deploying them from a web interface.
Web Report Pagination. JReport's banded objects in web reports are enhanced with smart page breaks that enable sophisticated layouts. Pagination can be implemented within a component, such as new pages for groups of a table, or between components like separating charts from tables. These new capabilities facilitate precision design on the web and exporting to PDF or printers while preserving layouts and pagination.
In addition, new web controls are now supported on web reports including text fields, text areas, password fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, image buttons, and drop-down lists, among others.
Deeper Customization. JReport 15.6 provides enhancements to its JavaScript APIs for greater flexibility in embedding reports and dashboards into any application. JavaScript APIs now include access to resource information such as catalogs, reports and parameters. Advanced run options can also be controlled through the JavaScript APIs, including output formats (e.g., PDF, Excel, TXT, HTML, etc.), and language and encoding selections. Furthermore, the JavaScript APIs can access schedule creation and user preference settings.
JReport Designer Enhancements. In JReport 15.6, JReport Designer now supports 4K resolution displays, and is now fully supported to run on macOS environments.
