JSCAPE Releases Software Update for MFT Server
Miami, FL (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- On February 13, 2015, Florida-based managed file transfer company JSCAPE released its new MFT Server updates. The updates, which altogether are known as JSCAPE MFT Server 9.1, fix minor bugs as well as offer new features, which serve to enhance the server's capabilities.
"While technically a minor release, this is a major release in terms of the new functionality offered," said Van Glass, Product Manager for JSCAPE.
Indeed, some of the new functions will noticeably increase what the server can do. The release includes 35 enhancements and bug fixes. One of them will add support for TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol), which enables clients to add or remove a file from a remote host, and OFTP (Odette File Transfer Protocol), which is a file transfer service designed for business transfers of data. Support will also be provided for Amazon S3, TFTP, OFTP, REST, IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 in Trading Partners module. Various protocols to Reverse Proxies module including Amazon S3, REST, TFTP, and OFTP are also included in the release.
Pagination and ability to search data tables in administrative web interface features will be enhanced, as will DateAdd, DateSubtract, and DateFormat functions to Triggers module for use in manipulating and formatting dates. Numerous usability improvements to administrative web user interface, such as all drop-down GUI components in web administrative interface that can be searchable, are part of the update.
Compatibility issues with OpenID CAS server are one of the bugs the release fixes. Bugs that cause the user to not be automatically redirected to login page after a session timeout are also amended. Performance issues with the Directory Monitors module are resolved as well.
"The added support for Amazon S3, TFTP, OFTP, and other networking protocols allows companies to use JSCAPE MFT Server as a central hub for data exchange," Glass said.
