MENOMONIE, Wis., May 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Vets Plus, Inc., Wisconsin-based developer, manufacturer and marketer of nutritional supplements and other products for the global animal health industry, announces the appointment of Juan Mena to the position of Director of Marketing - Companion Animal. Mr. Mena, with 25 years of sales and marketing experience among several companion animal brands, was most recently Director of Marketing for OPKO Health, Inc. in Miami, Florida until joining Vets Plus.
Mr. Mena is the latest in a series of high profile executives to join Vets Plus. In March, Paul Hays, former Chief Executive Officer of Virbac North America, joined the company as its Chief Commercial Officer for all Vets Plus companies. In April, Jeff Hancock, former Chief Operations Officer for Bimeda, joined as Vice President of Operations overseeing production at all Vets Plus companies.

Prior to joining OPKO, Mr. Mena worked in increasingly responsible sales, marketing and operations roles for leading animal health manufacturers. He was Director of Marketing for Teva Animal Health and followed the company through its acquisition by Bayer Animal Health, where he supported the rapid transition and integration of the Teva business. He was named Brand Manager for Bayer's DVM line in 2013. At Vets Plus, Mr. Mena will be personally focused on marketing all companion animal brands and labels and will be responsible to lead the Marketing team that support all species products for Vets Plus companies.
