DENVER, May 24, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Judaism Your Way will open registration on May 25th for the 13th year of its Open Tent Be Mitzvah program, an innovative two-year coming-of-age experience for students entering grades 6 through 8. The Open Tent Be Mitzvah program is based on the organization's maximally-inclusive mission to be an open tent, welcoming everyone seeking a connection to Jewish life.
In 90-minute classes over 8 months, Open Tent Be Mitzvah students learn about themselves as human beings and explore how they want to live as Jewish adults taking on more responsibility for themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. The program includes unique teaching methods, such as cooking classes, art projects, hiking lectures, and more.
"The Open Tent Be Mitzvah program has always been a unique experience providing a holistic approach for young minds to discover Judaism in their way," Rabbi Amanda Schwartz, Open Tent Be Mitzvah Director, said. "After a year of perfecting our virtual events, we are excited to offer in-person classes again, while continuing the online trend with a cohort dedicated to offering our spiritual guidance and comfort to students far beyond the Denver and Boulder city limits."
The Judaism Your Way in-person and virtual classes will begin October 2021. To register for the Open Tent Be Mitzvah program, visit: https://www.judaismyourway.org/open-tent-be-mitzvah.
